how to know Jesus
ADMIT - that you're a sinner. Everyone has done things that displease a Holy God. No one can live up to His standards. He says no sin can enter heaven. Something must be done to get rid of your sin.
I John 1:8 "If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us."
BELIEVE - Jesus died on the cross for you. God loves you and wants you to become His child.
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."
Acts 16:31 "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved."
CONFESS - your sinfulness to God, and turn from it. Call upon Jesus to save you - trust in Him as your Savior from sin. This may be a simple but sincere cry from your heart, or it may be expressed out loud.
Romans 10:9 "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
Romans 10:13 "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
If you believe in Jesus and have placed your faith and trust in Him, God has forgiven you. Then you, along with all others who believe in Jesus, will spend eternity in heaven with Him.
